Connecticut car accidents can take a life at any stage

| Apr 26, 2018 | Car Accidents |

When one is young, there may be the tendency to believe that nothing bad will ever happen. Sadly, when it comes to tragedies such as car accidents, no one is immune to the devastation they can cause. One recent Connecticut collision killed two people and injured five others.

Connecticut police are still conducting their investigation into a deadly crash that occurred around 7 p.m. on a recent Sunday. The report stated that a small passenger car that was carrying a driver and three passengers was traveling southbound on a local route. For reasons that are yet unknown, that vehicle somehow collided with a vehicle that was traveling in the northbound side of the road.

Two women in the first vehicle were killed in the crash. One of them, a 23-year-old, was pregnant. The other was 18 years old. The driver of the first car was transported to a hospital in critical condition. The remaining passenger in that car and the three occupants of the second vehicle were all taken for treatment of non-disclosed injuries, none of which were believed to be life-threatening.

Connecticut officials requested information from potential witnesses in order to complete their investigation into the cause of this tragic collision. The families of the deceased victims may never fully recover emotionally from their losses. They and the surviving victims may also struggle to deal with the financial losses that are frequently incurred from serious car accidents. Victims — or surviving family — may choose to pursue recompense for those losses that are deemed the responsibility of another party through the  filing of a personal injury or a wrongful death civil lawsuit.
