Every employer knows that certain types of discrimination are illegal when hiring and firing employees. Unfortunately the problem persists and
employers often have untrained supervisors involved in the hiring process. These people bring their preconceptions into the hiring process,
violating the legal requirements.
Not everyone knows that the effect of hiring practices can prove illegal discrimination. If the effect is that an
employer is not hiring candidates in a particular group, applicants from that group may have a case.
It may be easy to find an excuse but if there is always an excuse then there may
be a problem.
Of course employment law is not limited to the hiring and firing process. Employers must provide a work environment that does not allow illegal
discrimination.
Please contact the Adler Law group if you think you have been illegally discriminated against. If you are an employer without an in-house legal staff,
you may want expert legal advice for prevention or defense.
