Attorney Patricia Shepard graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2000, where she received her degree in Natural Resources
from the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources. She was involved with ConnPirg in college, a public interest
organization dedicated to consumer rights advocacy. She graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law
in 2005, where she focused her studies in the area of Litigation and Environmental Law. She was involved in the Public
Interest Law Group, and participated in clinics focused on mediation and alternative dispute resolution, as well as
environmental law. During law school, Ms. Shepard worked in the New Britain, Connecticut housing court, mediating
housing disputes between landlords and tenants. She also worked in a small Workers’ Compensation firm, where she
frequently appeared before the Workers’ Compensation Commission.
Since entering private practice, Ms. Shepard’s practice has been focused in the area of insurance defense. She is
admitted to practice in both the State and Federal Courts in Connecticut. She has extensive experience in the area
of insurance defense including premises, auto, commercial, employment, professional liability, environmental / toxic tort
cases, insurance coverage matters and appellate work.
Attorney Shepard currently lives in Mansfield, Connecticut with her husband and daughter.
